Work Production Efficiency (Zuo Gong Xiao Lv) is the metric for measuring the quality of energy transformation in the chart. Both Ti and Yong are present and the pathway is open, but the degree of loss during the transformation process determines the magnitude of the final achievement.
Under the same "Output Generates Wealth" (Shi Shang Sheng Cai) structure, one person earns a million a year while another barely makes ends meet — the difference lies in work production efficiency.

Blockages and Losses
Blockages in the work production pathway are the greatest killer of efficiency:
- Union Entanglement (He Ban): Ti or Yong is united/tied up; energy is diverted and cannot fully engage in work production
- Entering the Tomb (Ru Mu): Ti or Yong enters the tomb; energy is sealed and requires a clash on the storage to be released
- Cutting Feet / Covering Head (Jie Jiao / Gai Tou): Stem and Branch are disharmonious — the Stem wants to act but the Branch does not support
- Clash and Restraint (Chong Ke): A link in the pathway is clashed and restrained; energy leaks away at that point

Luck Cycles (Da Yun) can alter work production efficiency — even if the natal chart's efficiency is not high, entering a Luck Cycle that supports Ti and Yong or unblocks the pathway can dramatically raise efficiency. This explains the phenomenon of "same destiny, different luck": two people with identical natal charts, following different Luck Cycle pathways, can produce achievements as different as heaven and earth.
