Daily Luck (Liu Ri) is the method of projecting daily fortune using the current day's Day Pillar Stem-Branch. Within the layered framework of the natal chart, Luck Cycle, Annual Luck, and Monthly Luck, Daily Luck further refines the analysis to determine on which specific day an event occurs or which day is the optimal time for action.
Calculating the Daily Luck Stem-Branch
The Sixty Jiazi Stem-Branch cycle assigns one Stem-Branch to each day. Starting from a known Day Pillar, one can follow the Sixty Jiazi sequence forward to derive the Day Pillar for any date. A perpetual calendar is commonly used for direct lookup.
